Title: Brazier Pub, Wigan
Post by: Paradun02 on Friday 01 December 06 21:10 GMT (UK)
Hi Each
Can anyone tell me if the Brazier Public House is still in Wigan? I believe it was Wallgate. If it is still there but changed it's name, if so to what?
Many thanks.
Brian.

Hi Brian
this website is good for looking for pubs in Lancashire i have looked in wigan but cant find it.What was the year you saw it mentioned? if was a long time ago it might be gone now.You might find the local library reference room has a some sort of image of it.Or it might be in a book of long gone publice houses, most libraries have books of this kind. Just type the area you are looking for pubs and it brings them up.Not sure if it's all of them though.Hope this helps

Hi Celia,
Thanks for your response. I'll have a look at the website, I also have an appointment at the Records Office in Wigan for next Thursday. I'll have a look around the History Shop whilst I'm there.
Thanks again.
Brian
