Hiya Pam,

There's a thread for  Edward Moore in Kildare. (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,210240.msg1080374.html#msg1080374) Were the family in Kildare at any stage .. if not I'd suggest that your message should be posted on the Westmeath board. If you don't know how to send a message to the Moderator at the top of this board is Kildare (Moderator: RootsChat) ... Click on RootsChat and scroll down to send a message ... Click on that and send your message requesting that the Edward Moore thread be moved. In theory that should mean more people interested in the area where Edward lived should read your message. What happens in practice is anyone's guess 8)

The name Edward Moore appears six times on  Griffith's Valuation for Westmeath 1854.  (http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php)

Hiya Pam,

Could you post the names of the children of Edward and Julia, please.

Some of the other Christran names in the family may help in trying to establish her surname. Joyce would be a good example of what to look for in the case of a girl and Herbert in the case of a boy..  Joyce is a common surname in parts of Ireland ... there may be others .. I must do my best to think of some.

pam1511- you need to check church records to see if parents' names are recorded on the marriage certificate.
