Hi Lubbie
William and I helped you earlier on this week. His mother, Ruth, was born Llanarmon and was listed as a widow in the 1861.
See this thread:

There doesn't seem to be any definite birth reg for him. One of the best ways of finding his father is to find an early marriage for Ruth or get the marriage certificate of John. This is John's marriage cert GRO reference:
Wrexham, Mar Q, 1882, vol 11b, page 349.
I shall see if I can find an earlier marriage for Ruth but as we don't know her maiden name it will be difficult.

As Gadget says Lubbie,it is extremely difficult to come up with the possible Marriage details for your John's Parents, indeed some would say it is more akin to guesswork! However I have come up with what can only be described as a possible. There is the Marriage of a John Roberts and a Ruth Jones which took place in Ruthin District Denbighshire in 1852;The GRO reference is Volume 11b Page 441.
