Hi, I have an ELIZABETH CARR born Wicklewood.  I believe she is connected to my ancestor WILLIAM LAND who was born 1785 in Heigham.  His  marriage record to MARY ANN LAYCOCK in 1811 has a witness ANN CARR, so wondering if ANN is related to ELIZABETH.  Have been looking for WILLIAM LAND's parents for ages. As there is a bit of dispute on census, whether he was born in Heigham or North Walsham. Hope you can help.

Hi Sheila
welcome to RootsChat

There is a William and Anne (twins) Land born 15 Mar 1790, bap 16 Mar 1790 in Hingham parents Robert Land and Elizabeth (Carr)

The 1851 census has Mary Ann born Hingham

Hi Yokel
I believe that could be him, sorry my mistake got place name wrong, Hingham not Heigham.  I believe that could be him, but the link that would convince me is the link to ANN CARR on his marriage record, is she related to ELIZABETH LAND nee CARR.  Wondered if Westcoastmum is still on here to help.

One of the witnesses at Robert Land and Elizabeth Carr marriage was Joseph Carr senior.

FreeReg has baptisms in Hingham for Elizabeth Carr 23 Sept 1747, Ann Carr 31 Jan 1750/51 and Joseph Carr 18 Jan 1753 all with the father Joseph Carr.

There are others on FreeReg

I would have thought that Ann Carr born 1750/51 would be married by 1811 and have a different surname.
