Trying to find:
Thomas Scott and his wife Jane or Jean nee Lawson
This couple married 21 Sept 1846 Carluke.
Would like to know if they had any Children
Also looking for John Lawson and his wife Martha. Martha was born April 1798 Carluke.

The 1851 index has a possible family living in Carluke
Thomas Scott aged 28,born lanark
Jane Scott aged 28,born carluke
There are three children listed with them
Martha Scott aged 7
William Scott aged 4
& Margaret Scott aged 1
all three children were born in carluke

There are some more children showing for them post the start of official registration in Scotland in 1855 in Carluke:
1. THOMAS SCOTT Birth: 08 MAY 1859 Carluke, Lanark, Scotland
2. JAMES SMITH SCOTT Birth: 22 APR 1861 Carluke, Lanark, Scotland
3. JAMES SCOTT Birth: 03 AUG 1863 Carluke, Lanark, Scotland
4. MARY SCOTT Birth: 16 JUN 1857 Carluke, Lanark, Scotland
5. JANE SCOTT Birth: 20 AUG 1855 Carluke, Lanark, Scotland
If you need more background on the family, you have an 1855 Birth cert showing from this list. For the first year of registration only, the BMD entries ran over two pages of the register and included a wealth of additional info on the parents (ages/occupation/where they were from/marriage/how many children they had, alive/deceased). Certainly one to look at!

Still looking for Jane's parent's John and Martha Lawson in 51 Martha was born 1798 Carluke.

I did have a quick search on SP for Martha but nothing showed in 1851 near her age group.

There's nothing showing in the 1851 index for Lanarkshire County area for either John or Martha Lawson although there are Lawsons showing up in Carluke
