Title: Obituary Lookup Request at St Nicholas Cemetery Aberdeen- James Sherrifs

Obituary lookup reqest at St Nicholas Cemetery Aberdeen
       James Sherrifs died 13 October 1840  He was
 Buried about 18 October 1840.
He was Keeper of The Court House in Aberdeen.

Any information would be welcome, please.

Hi Jim,

Do not know if this is of any help to you but in a booklet that I have which lists some obit's for the Aberdeen area for the 1840-1854 period I have come across the following.

Alexander Lumsden Sherifs died 9th december 1853. He was aged 56 and his death took place at Blervie House near Forres. It also states that he was "of Blairmormond".

John Lumsden Sherifs died 11th May 1852 aged 57 of Blairmormond.

Also there is a James Sherriffs who died on 3rd October 1852 aged 103 at Milltown of Kimnay.

These are the only Sherifs that are noted in the booklet. Hope it is of some help.

I know James is in ST Nick`s, but only part of it has been transcribed up
to now I think.

I think You have found some of our relatives,  John Lumsden Shirrefs would be my husbands G/G/G Grandfather who resided at Blairmormond.
