Title: census look up 1861

Would it be possible to look for a Richard Dadd in Margate 1861, he was born Deal in 1824, married Jemima Wall in Deal 1848 but I don't think they stayed together.  He appears in 1871 with next wife Harriet in Margate but not sure of his whereabouts in 1861

Margate is too big to search without a reference or an address. I don't know of any index so have you any addresses I could look at?

Hi there
in 1871 he was at Ref10-991 (Thanet) Town Margate, Municipal Ward - Marine Civil & Ecclesiastical Parish St John.  Address 6 White Hart Court.
But if he was there 10 yrs before I do not know.
His full name was Richard Rigden Dadd at baptism.
when he married his second wife in 1865 he stated he was a bachelor!! and years younger than he really was - so a bit of a lad I think.  Thats why he's so interesting.  His first wife Jemima Wall came from Ramsgate and I would love to know where they lived and if they had any children.  But I cannot find out what happened to Jemima if she died (nothing yet in free BMD's) or if they divorced and she remarried (again no remarriage for Jemima Dadd in free BMD's).  They were not on the Deal census in 1861

No I haven't found my Richard, at a brick wall.  wish I could find out what happened to him.
