hi to all rootchat members I'm looking for some help with find information on a Eric longhurst born in stonystratford and a John James longhurst married to a daisy Beitris hollowell his farther was John thomas longhurst and his mother was Charlotte Jane teat and he had a brother Ted longhurst any info on this line much appreciated thank SAM

i no Eric died about 1983/84 his nice told me that but don't no when born ab 1920/30 at a guess as hi brother norman James was born 1928 , John James was born  1896 newportpagnell Ted i have no dates for John thomas was ab 1872 don't no were thanks sam

There is only one Eric Longhurst who died in 1983/1984 and that was in Wellingborough Northants. DOB  26/08/1925. Died March 1984.

Eric Longhurst was registered Sept Q 1925 in Northampton. MMN Hollowell.

Living in Ravenstone Newport Pagnell. John Snr is a Shepherd.

RG13  1363 Folio 71 Page 17 refers.

The Eden on the 1901 is actually Ellen (Mistranscribed). There is an Edward Longhurst registered in Newport Pagnell in June Q 1909 3a/1056

may be  i was told by norman James longhursts wife that they came from bucks area but she was getting on at the time and having trouble with her memory due to illness but thanks regards SAM

I KNOW ERIC DIED IN NORTHAMPTON BUT COULD FIND NO RECORED OF HIM BUT I WAS TOLD HE WAS BORN IN BUCKS BUT IT MY BE POSSIBLE HE WAS BORN IN NORTHANTS

I think you have to accept that Eric was born or at least registered in Northants as the MMN is the correct one.

I have checked the 1901 census and the middle initial for John does not look the same as the middle intial for Charlotte and James and it certianly looks like a G to me. But you have to remember that the renumerator only goes on what he hears and he could have heard it as a G. The fact the John is the father, Charlotte is the mother and there is a James J is very telling and that they are living in Newport Pagnell. Almost certianly the correct family.

MMN is mothers maiden name. On the birth registers after September Quarter 1911, the mother maiden name is logged.

i have had to bring the longhurst back here as i now found birth for john t longhurst and marriage he was born newport pagnell and married there b 1872 m1892 to Charlotte j teat from SAM  :D
