This is an old post so I'm not sure if you are still looking for this information but, if so, there are some baptisms for East Peckham on the IGI http://www.familysearch.org batch number C165411

There is a Thomas SAUNDERS in both 1824 and 1825.

Thanks for the response and interest!
I viewed both entries on the family search.org site
The entry that seemed to fit was for baptism event May 8th 1825 at East Peckham in respect of Thomas Saunders son of Richard Saunders and Fanny.
I noted with interest the other Thomas Saunders baptised Oct 17th 1824
at East Peckham as well - Son of Thomas Saunders and Harriet
The thought has crossed my mind that Thomas Saunders Snr and Richard might have been  cousins if not brothers.!
