Title: Edgeworths in Kildare
Post by: skaville on Wednesday 08 November 06 16:53 GMT (UK)
Has anyone come across this surname around Naas. My rellies were there around 1850s/60s. John Edgeworth was married to a Bridget Miller. Children include Christopher, Bridget, Mary, Michael, Catherine, John.

Hiya skaville,

The Eircom Directory  (http://159.134.203.172/search.asp?source=Eircom) may help you to find living Edgeworths. The surname does not appear to be an Irish one. Would your ancestor have had connections with the Army? I've a friend in Kildare so I'll ask if she knows of Edgeworths still in the area.

All the Best, Chris

Hiya,
I dont know of any army connections. I believe there may be a living Walter Edgeworth in Dublin. His phone number isnt working though. Also, the Kavanaghs that run the 'Diggers' pub are my mothers cousins!!!

There are 8 Edgeworths in total in the Eircom phone book. 6 are listed around the Dublin areas; 1 at Ballymore Eustace Co Kildare and 1 in Lucan which is midway between Naas and Dublin.
