Title: Dadd(s)-Am i missing the obvious
Post by: TerryD on Friday 03 November 06 17:29 GMT (UK)
Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can help.
1861 Dadd family of Henry(44) Wife Ann (41) James(17) William (14) Thomas(12)Elizabeth(7) and Mary J(3) together with nephew Edwin(8) and neice Susannah(6) Woodward living 23 Queen Street , Ramsgate.
All of these missing in all further census except Mary J who in 1881 census married to Lewis Offil and has her eldest brother (my great great grandfather) Henry William Dadds living with her.
If they all died,  emigrated, etc  I would not have expected to pick Mary up after ten year gap.

Any ideas please

Thanks in anticipation
Terry Dadds

Thanks Both,

Deaths information looks extremely helpful as I also managed to find Elizabeth Ann after a lot more searching which I can add to Emma's finds.

Just need to find William who I reckon also might have died.

Back on Track & Best regards
Terry

Terry
Do any of your Dadd families connect with any from Deal??
If so it would be very interesting
regards
Jenny

Hi Jennifer,

My Dadd(s) family go back to Kent but no link to Deal at the moment. However there probably is a link somewhere.
On one census search I thought we had a Deal connection with one of my people being a Cabin boy born in deal, however it turned out that in a later census my Dadd was in the right place and the Cabin Boy from deal was in another.

If you want to see if we have any connection and can help each other send me an email.

Terry
