Title: locating a road on us census
Post by: tracyc on Tuesday 31 October 06 16:23 GMT (UK)
HI
On the 1930 census, where would Lafayette av, brooklyn new york come under. I'm searching by district in brooklyn but i'm having trouble trying to locate it. All the east and west ave and 115th streets. I've had a look at the districts for manhattan and there numbered from 1001 to 1249. Does any one know whereabouts lafayette ave comes under. I have tried scrolling through these and it just seems to take for ever. Just thought someone might know an easier way. Wish i lived in usa to be able to understand these streets. Please can anyone point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Tracy :( :( :(

Hi Tracy

Have you tried Brooklyn "Districts 1-250" you need to look in "Kings" first.

If you need any help searching, just shout the name  ;D

Hope this works

This should be a map of the area showing a movie theatre on Lafayette Ave.

http://maps.citysearch.com/location/7360338

Click on the x in the little white box to close it...that should leave you with a map of NY City

This might help you find the area on the census

Cheers
