Title: German Ancestor's Birth

I have a copy of a page from a German ancestor's Bible stating that a Daniel Schafer was born on 10 August, 1832 in Frankenau.  Could someone please help me go in the right direction to see if I can obtain any records of him in Germany?

Meryl,

You would need to consult the parish records (Kirchenbuch, plural Kirchenbuecher).

However, there are several Frankenaus (viamichelin found 5), and you'll need to know which one.
