Hi,
Could someone please help I have a John T Brooks born abt 1801 Moreton Pinkney. I am trying to find his parents.
I also have Esther McCubbins born abt 1806 but not sure if she was Moreton Pinkney.
Any help with these would be appreciated thank you.

May 24th 1801
John Thomas son of John? and Eliz Brookes.
There was a marriage of John Brooks to Elizabeth Randall on 12 Aug 1794 which would fit.

My interest is the daughter Sophia Brooks I need to confirm her mother is Esther but so far cannot find a birth to obtain numbers for a certificate. I have her marriage details but that will only tell me her father being John.
We found the marriage to Sarah Wilson but not Esther McCubbins. So I have come to standstill on this for now.
If you have any information or are related to this family please let me know and I will share what I have.

John Thomas (3429) and Esther McCubbins (3430) may not have been married as it appears that John Thomas Brooks' (3429) second wife, Hester Sturch (12678), did not die until 1846 by which time John Thomas (3429) and Esther (3430) had had four children. John (3429) was born in 1801 in Moreton Pinkney, NTH, ENG; . He was baptized on 24 May 1801. He was also known as John Thomas Brookes (3429). .
He married first Sarah Wilson (12652) on 19 Feb 1822 in Moreton Pinkney, NTH, ENG; . He became a widower upon the death of his wife Sarah Wilson (12652) before 4 Jun 1824. .
He married second Hester Sturch (12678), daughter of William Sturch (20658) and Ann Crockett (20659), on 21 Mar 1825 in Shipston-On-Stour, WOR, ENG. He was a pig dealer on 12 Apr 1826. As of 24 Oct 1827, he was also known as John Thomas Brewks (3429). .

Sophia daughter of John (a labourer) and Esther BROOKS was born 20th April 1839 and bapt 27th Nov 1842 at Morton Pinkney

I know that it is very hard to check DOBs and you could have found a birth for a Sophia BROOKS with the correct parents but just wondering if the Sophia you gave may have died early on and the next child was named Sophia after her which was quite common as the first reference I have found to Sophia was in the 1851 census

It is odd that she does not appear in the te 1841 census, but we now know from the baptism record that she she was still living in 1842

Perhaps the error is in the birthdate in the baptism register.
In Free BMD is an Ann Sophia BROOKES registerred 1842 in the correct district (Brackley)

I found these children for John and Hester
Edward 1829
Elizabeth 1831
William 1833
Clement 1835
and these for John and Esther
Henry 1826
James 1837
Sophia 1842
William 1843
I found these on family search and am just wondering if Hester was transcribed wrong and should have been Esther otherwise John was back and fourth with two women.
In the 1841 census most of these children are with John and Esther so where is Hester.
The Hester that died in 1846 could be Esther as she does not appear in 1851 census.
mgeneas no wonder I could not find Sophia on FreeBMD so I might order that one and hope it is correct.

By the way all those children were born Moreton Pinkney.

I am a brand new subscriber and am attempting my first post, a request under an already existing topic. I am searching for birth or baptismal information regarding my great- great- grandmother Hannah Watkins purportedly christened in Moreton Pinkney on 13 January 1805. I do not know the reference for the date provided. Could someone please help me by verifying that date and providing a valid reference source? ( I have searched the UK Parish Register Information website and the FreeBMD site. )
Also, if I have proceeded incorrectly by replying rather than opening a new strand under an existing topic, please advise. Actually i don't even know how to open up a post for a new question under an existing subject or a post for a new topic!

Hannah dau of Samuel and Ann WATKINS or WADKINS was baptised 13th Jan 1805 at Moreton Pinkney.

Hi i am to a decendant of John Thomas Brooks thru William Henry Brooks (1834-1918) i have a Ester McCubbins b 1806 I'm like you i don't know much about them except the first wife died in 1824 so she would have been the mother of John 1823 and Elizabeth 1822. Then the second wife Hester I have dates of Henry 1826, Thomas 1826, Edward 1828, Elizbeth 1831 William 1833, Clement 1835, James 1837, Sophia 1842, there may be a difference of a year on some of the dates from different sites
