Hi All
Am trying to find (without having to purchase the birth cert) the father of an Edward Christian Wheeldon, born Prestwich, Lancashire A.M.J. 1907.
If anyone can help I would be most pleased...
Regards

Hi Gary,
Do you know if EC Wheeldon had older brothers/sisters who would have featured on 1901 census? Might just be able to find name of father that way.

Hi Gary, unfortunately I haven't any info on your Wheeldon. However, I think you should order the cert as Prestwich was once a huge registration district of Manchester so he may well have been born somewhere else in Manchester but the birth was registered in the district of Prestwich.
The cert will give you loads of info to take your search a step further.
God luck with your search
Fiona :)

I know this is an old post but just in case you don't have the information.

Hi Fireman57,
You may not be aware but one of the rules of the RootsChat site is that we cannot transcribe the 1911 census due to copyright laws.

I am now, apologies, I'm new to the site. Will avoid in future.

Don't worry about it - was just tipping you the "wink" - otherwise a moderators would come along and take it off anyway. Your amendment is fine.
Hope you are enjoying the site - did you know you can put on your own "surname interests" ?
In the brown section at the bottom of each RootsChat page under Your Tools is "Surneme Interests" where you can check to see if any one else is dearchin for the same names and you can add your own if you wish.
