Title: Barratt's 1871 census help
Post by: Squirt on Saturday 14 October 06 00:26 BST (UK)
Hello;
Hoping to have some help in locating a Thomas Barratt born approx. 1842, his wife Jane born approx. 1843  Both born in Stockport and I believe Thomas's occupation to be an Iron Moulder.  They may have had a son named William, though not certain.

Many thanks!
Cas

Many, many thanks Darcy!

I am very pleased with this new information.  I've had a heck of a time locating other members in the Barratt family, so figured I would go with Thomas in hopes to find his siblings John, Elizabeth and father William at some point further back.

I so appreciate your kindness and your time.  It truly means alot.

Sincerely;
Cas

Hi Cas, ;D

you are very welcome - glad I could help.

I'm not sure about the street name. My best guess is "Back Market St" - but I could be wrong..... ::)

If you would like me to try and find Thomas on the earlier census just let me know.....

Regards
Darcy

Dear Darcy, I would appreciate you looking on earlier census very much.  That has been a total loss to me.

I do believe Thomas 1842 has a brother named John born in Stockport approx. 1844.  Their father I believe was named William born approx. 1822 to 24.  It is these fellows I cannot find anywhere on earlier census and to top it off, I don't even know their Mother's name.

Regardless of any help you may give me, I thank you for your kindness!

Best wishes;
Cas
