Does anyone know how I can find the following great-grandmother? Thanks, Laverdiere
Ann Atkin was born about 1795 in Wexford, Ireland. About 1813 she married John Dalton, Sergeant in the 6th Regiment of Foot. In 1813 they are stationed in Upper Canada where daughter Jane is born.
On 13 July 1819 at the Roman Catholic church in Bishopwearmouth, Durham, their son Gerard Dalton is baptised.
By 1825 they are in the Cape Colony of South Africa. John dies (date unknown) and on Monday 4 June 182, she marries John Wallace in the Anglican church.

Hiya Laverdiere,
A couple of people named Atkin from Co. Wexford (http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/IRL-CARLOW/2000-09/0969854510) were mentioned on Rootsweb Carlow Archives.

Hiya Laverdiere,
A long list from RootsWeb of Atkins (http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=SHOW&db=judkirkland&recno=299) including several from Wexford and a shorter list from Genforum. (http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?forum=atkin&url=%2Fatkin%2F&path=%2Fatkin%2F&terms=Wexford&boolean=AND)
