I have located many of my anceestors in Warwickshire and Staffordshire between 1790 and 1901 but I have now stumbled upon a small problem I hope someone can help me with. I found an entire Bannister family in the 1881 census but with a Florence Bannister listed as a NEICE. The rest of the family was born in Warwickshire but her birthplace is listed as London. Another oddity is that in the 1891 census she is then listed as a DAUR. but the birthplace is a bit more specific......Wansworth,London. Also the birth date is 3 years later (1881). Can anyone make a suggestion how I can go about finding her parents? Possibly they died when she was young. I haven't been able to locate a Florence Bannister being born around this time. ANy suggestions?

Welcome Dennis!
As the Florence born c 1878 in 1881 and c 1881 in 1891 definitely seem to be one and the same, I think that the only real option is to trawl through the GRO indexes for a Wandsworth birth for her 1876 - 1881.
The complete GRO Indexes are now freely available online. You will need to go through the images quarter year by quarter year just as you would at a Record Office. Certificates can then be ordered online at the GRO.

As Wandsworth was originally in Surrey but became part of London in 1889, I am going to move your post over to the London board.
