Title: All Saints Newcastle marriage....
Post by: tazzie on Sunday 01 October 06 13:44 BST (UK)

    Hi ....

I would like to know if someone can help on this one please....

  Abraham LISCOE  married Elsabeth WARFFIELD/WARFFEILD

on 13 July 1635 at All Saints Newcastle upon Tyne.

Abraham is of interest as he is the earliest Liscoe I have any record of....
....I would like to know if the spelling is right and if any details exsist.

There are other spellings in the IGI all All Saints extracted records.

Does any one have access to the records please,,

                     Tazzie

Abraham Liscoe may have been born at Newent in Gloucestershire in 1599 as "Abraham Tyzack, son of a Frenchman of the Glasshouse."

Hello

I am so sorry in the delay from your posting in December but I have found it now. I haven't come across that varient before but Lisgo appears more commonly in Northern England.  The Liscoe is centred on London. I will have to widen my search area and its spelling.
 Many thanks
Tazzie

With the Tyzack / Liscoe connection, the Liscoe is originally Lichecourt, which was where the Tyzacks (then Thysacs) lived in France.

 Hi.

My brother always thought it could be a French name more like . Lisieux.
I have a football taxi free weekend so a good time to have a look at this again.
 Thanks
