Hi,
if anyone is visiting Bristol Records Office in the near future, or has marriage indexes for Bristol, I would really appreciate a check on the following marriage:
1862. Jul-Aug-Sep Quarter. David Morgan. Bristol
I'm looking for his wifes name.
Thanks,
Toni

Toni.. hi.. Did you ever find out the brides name?.. i know it was one of two.. either..
Amelia Ann Tarr.. or... Jane Forsey.. its easily determined by looking at the 1871 census.. i assume they remained in bristol?
if so this could be them..
David Morgan .. b abt 1826.. bristol
Jane ... (wife).. b abt 1838.. bicknell.. somerset..
Ada.. says b abt 1860.. but often ages were out by abt 10 years.. b abt 1860 bristol
Florence .. b abt 1864.. bristol
Alice.. b abt 1870.. bristol..
Hope this has helped..

Why not buy the marriage cert? The ONS reference Vol. and Page is on freebmd.
Just suppose somebody being a bit mischievous was to tell you a porkie . . . .
Isn't it always best to have documentary evidence rather than rely on others? Besides which of course m-certs can tell more.

Thank you both for your comments. When I first posted this, FreeBMD didn't have the spouses name available for David Morgan, which is why I requested a look up before I ordered the cert. I have now got this.
Thanks again.
