Title: Stockport Heritage Library.

Can any one help me with a relative called James Milton. On the 1881 census he was living in higher hillgate and his occupation was a photographer.

Does any one visit or intend to visit the library? Could you help see if any of his work exist there? Or any help to point me in the right direction would be great. I have used the online trade directory on the library's website but no luck.

Sorry there is nothing at all at the library for your James Milton, the ladies there checked the name indexes they have, also checked directories.

The ladies at the library suggested he may have worked for someone else.

I go most weeks to Stockport library if I can help in anyway.
