Thank you, so much, for finding this one for me.
Can I please push my luck and ask if somebody could please try to find Lucy and the children as I have been told that he left behind 5 children and I only have details of 4.

Hi again Annie,
many thanks for coming back on this one - it was little Harriet that I was missing.
I am researching this family for my son in law and he thought it was wonderful that you had found him so much information.
Thank you, very much, as would never have found it without your help

Hi Super nan
William Tansley was married to Lucy the sister of my g/g/grandfather Charles Wade. In the parish baptismal register the vicar has made a note on the entry for Walter, the youngest son, that father was 'transported for life'.Thankyou vicar!! Baptism was on 27 February 1850 in the church of St Peter-ad-Vincula,Coggeshall.

I am also researching the Tansley and Wade families in conjunction with the Burton line in Coggeshall.
Sarah Burton married Charles Wade in 1834.
I have both William Wade and William Tansley in the tree, both of whom were members of the Coggeshall gang.
