Hi need help locating some family in Tonga. In 1870 my relative Edwin W Sandys left home in Roscommon Ireland, aged 15 and finally ended up in Tonga. There he married Bernice Latu they had 4 children William, Richard, Jane and Martha> our last letter from him was in 1931. He was living at NUKU'ALOFA,TONGA TAPU,  If anyone knows how I could try to find them please help   cosmo

Tonga  is  nearer New Zealand  and  it  might  pay  you to post  to  the New Zealnd Board

The familysearch site  for  the latter day saints  has  this  family  on  file

You could try the Tonga telephone directory for members of the Sandys family on www.tcc.to (Tonga Communications Corp), click on whitepages

thanks for your suggestions the web site gives family upto mid thirties and the teiephone directory has no sandys listed so looking at descendants through the female line cosmo

Nuku you need to have made 3 posts before you can use the PM method.

Just reply 'thanks for the info' to this and you'll be up to speed.  Then you can PM Cosmo.
I see his/her post was in 2006 so may not see these postings.  Didn't check how long since Cosmo was online.
