. WM.1 RYAN was born 1815 in IRL. He married ELLEN LAWLESS Abt. 1835 in TIP,IRL, daughter of WM. LAWLESS and ELLEN. She was born 1816 in Kilshane, TIP,IRL.
William RYAN (born ca.1815) and Ellen LAWLESS (born ca.1816).
They married in Co.Tipperary and had children Jane b.1836, Ellen b.1838,
Ann b.1841, Thomas b.1845, Mary b.1843 and John b.1848 in a town called
Kilshane which I understand is south-east of Tipperary town. The whole
family emigrated to Australia on board the "John Fielden" in 1853, settling
in the Darling Downs area in Queensland Australia

Hi,
I don't know if we have any family in common, but thought it a coincidence that I also have a great grandmother who's maiden name was Rosannah Ryan, and her daughter's name (my grandmother)was was Ellen Gannon, who married my grandfather Peter Lawless, his father was Thomas Lawless born in Ireland around 1820's,Ellens father Thomas Gannon was born in Ireland also.

Hi Michelle,
I see your post is from 2006. I’m a descendant of William and Ellen, their son Thomas Ryan was my great Grandfather he married Mary McQuillan in 1869. William and Ellen lived in Warwick and Highfields but nothing more is known. If they died and were buried in Queensland their deaths were not registered. The same applies to Thomas my Great Grandfather their is no record of his death. Mary known as Granny Ryan’s lived in Perseverance/Ravensbourne area, her son John Thomas was my Grandfather. How are you related? Hope to hear from you kind regards Donna
