Could someone please look up Arthur Herbert Wicks for me in the 1901 census.
He was born in 1893 in Norwich.

Thanks very much,
Bean

There is an Arthur B and an Arthur T - but both born 1895 ...

no unfortunately not - his birth was registered in Norwich so i was hoping to find them via the census. There seems to be a bit of a naming tradition in our family of Herbert Arthur and Arthur Herbert so this seems to be a branch.

ScRoppers,

Following another line i have found a family with a Lutter Wicks in it but i can't view the actual record to see if this is a transcription error and should be Arthur.
He's part of a family headed by William & Ellen Wicks with children - William, Sarah, George, Lutter, Beatrice, James.
They were in Norwich for the 1901 census.

Could i be cheeky and ask you if it would be possible for you to check the actual census image for me?

Many thanks

Bean

I'll have a look at the FREE INDEX - under these T's & C's.

What you can use the service for:

You can only use the website for your own personal non-commercial use, e.g., to research your own family history.

We are also happy for you to help out other people with their family history by telling them about records available on the website and how and where they can be found, including showing them anything within our free search results.

However, you must not provide them with copies of any of the records (either an original image of the record or the information on the results page), even if you provide them for free.

Unfortunately there are 2 Arthurs, neither show a middle name, one is c1894 and the other c1895.

But the FREE INDEX Search engine allows us to associate with others in the same household, so, choosing BEATRICE from the 1901 should help.

Indeed, it shows the same family as 1901 - ie the Arthur born c1894 is the one you need.
