Hi,
I am trying to take my family tree back further and have come to a stop.
I have a John Cronk son of William and Elizabeth, Born c1799.
He married a Sarah Bridger in 1830 and this was a 2nd marriage (1st wife died ).In the 1841 census there is a James Cronk showing and i think this may have been from his 1st marriage, i have Jame's death certificate having died in 1843. I would love to find his birth and also John's 1st wife.
Can anyone point me in the direction i need to go, i have tried all the usual channels ie IGI batch nos, Ancestry etc. Any infomation on this family would be a help,
Thanks in advance,
Vanda :(
The family are from Edenbridge/Cowden/ Penhurst areas

Edenbridge Burials
James Cronk age 13 March 21st 1843
His baptism looks to be above in 1836 as they baptised two children were probably older when christened ? so hes not from Johns first marriage hes from John and Sarahs if baptism is him.Or i suppose could have been Anns (added see burial below)and just baptised later when John was remarried ?

Hello, I can help with Ellinor Shepherd who was previously married to Allen Harbrough born 1818 Westerham, Kent. They had 4 children Mary Jane b. 21 Jan 1849 Hartfield Sussex. Ezekiel b. 1850 Withyham Sussex. Edwin Allen b. 26 Feb 1859 Withyham. d. 1 Apr 1886 Little Bay, Sydney, Australia and Stephen b. 1859. Edwin Allen Harbrow had many children in Australia, don't have any info on the other 3. You can check out my family history website on Harbrows it's dub dub dub dot pandorasbox dot co dot nz. I wasn't aware that Ellinor,s husband Allen had died and that she remarried so thanks for that. There are many Harbrows in Australia
Best regards, Allen Harbrow, Christchurch, New Zealand
ps. I am not from the line of Allen Harbrow but from his brother William Harbrow who came out to Australia in 1842. Name changed from Harbrough to Harbrow at about that time.
Edwin Allen harbrow emigrated to Sydney, Australia with 3 of his children on the 'Gulf of Mexico' arriving on 24 March 1885. He was a stonemason.

I think we are related, I am Heather, the youngest daughter of William Lawson, the youngest son of John and Alice Lawson. Are you Pat 's daughter? "Chris's daughter? My Father was born in 1905 and he also had another brother who was older than him George, who you have not mentioned. It would be great to hear the family history, I still keep In touch with George's children, who are still alive. James boys, have now died, but I still get a Xmas card from Andrew's wife.
The photo that you have of John Lawson looks like my Father when he was younger.
Regards
Heather
