H again Elaine,
Are there any Reekies on the Kinglassie voters list?
Thanks

Hi,
There are no Reekie's (both lists are very short) but
there is a Hutchison:
Kinglassie 1832 voters:
Hutchinson, Alexander, tenant, Festerton
Were your family tailors? In the Westwood directory for 1866:
There's a
Hutchison, James, Duncrivie, Parish of Arngask, TAILOR, 1866
Also,
In Auchterderran 1866 Under Farmers, is a
Reekie, John, Powguild
That's the only ones I can find,

There are only 2 "FAIR'S" named in any of the lists -

Hi Elaine,
Could you please look to see if there is a Mary Finnick in the Fife deaths abroad. Her m.s. was Rodgers. I can't find a trace of her in Scotland after the 1871 census. Also her son, Philip seemed to disappear so would appreciate if you could have a look for them both.
Many Thanks,
Alison

Hi Alison,
I looked through all my lists - they aren't that long - and didn't find any
FINNICK or Rodgers. Which doesn't mean much, but I've also never seen that name
Finnick before. I know Rodgers can be Irish - I had a grgrandmother from Tory Island in Donegal where you can't sneeze without hitting a Rodgers. Could Finnick also be
Irish and they went to Ireland?
Just a thought.
Good luck,
Elaine

Hi Elaine,
Many thanks for looking.
The Finnick side was definately from Scotland. However, I know from the 1841 and 51 census Mary's father Philip was from Ireland, but as is often the case it doesn't say where.
I must admit it hadn't occured to me she may have gone to Ireland. Thanks for the suggestion.
Kind regards,
Alison

Hi Elaine,
Do you have any Fairfull,s in Auchterderran by any chance. Christine.
Hi Christine,
I was just searching for an uncle of mine when I came across a really interesting
Fairfull death in Auchterderran. As I remembered telling you I'd never heard that
name before, I immediately thought of you. Let me know if you would like details.
It is for an Andrew Fairfull who was murdered in 1928.
