Could anyone please look for David John Phillips, b 1889, living in Cilfynydd in 1901, father John.
I have not got him on any census so any information from any of the census's on him and his family would be most greatly appreciated. :)

Hi Galante
Well I found one David J Phillips in the area you asked for
RG13/4997 Folio 134 Page 6 - 1901
John Phillips was a Coal Hewer living at 19 Wood Street, Cilfynydd. He was born in 1868 in Aberdare, Glamorgan. His wife was Hannah born in 1869 in Glynneath, Glamorgan.
They had a daughter named Rahcel born in 1886 in Treorkey and she was a Dressmaker in 1901. Their son David J Phillips was born in 1889 in Treorkey as well
Hope this helps in some way

Just had a look at 1891 and found the family at 19 Graig Road, Llandyfodwg
They had a daughter Janet / Jennet aged 11 months so it looks like she died before 1901. She was born in nantymoel

Thanks very much Carol, that's just what I was after ;D - what a shame about Janet/Jennet, particularly as David died the day after the war ended from wounds - I hope Rachel outlived her siblings
much appreciated

You're welcome
It doesn't look like they had any other children after David either.
Good luck with your searching
