Brian,
My 2x great grandmother was Elizabeth Symes b. 1824 Yeovil, d. 1867 Gloversville, NY. She married Moulton Hodder b. 1822 Yeovil, d 1895 Gloversville, NY. I Have Elizabeth daughter of James Symes b. ca. 1789 Somerset d.1844or8 Yeovil and Mary b. ca. 1795 Yeovil, d. 1851 Yeovil. Elizabeth had a brother John and a sister Malena.
I believe Samuel Rodber's wife Jane Symes may have been a sister of James. So we might be cousins.
Can you connect us?
Thanks,
Bob

Brian,
James Symes was a witness at Jane's wedding.

Good day Bob,
according to my computerised genealogy Jane Symes is my Great,Great,Great Grandmother.
My Grand Mother was Alice Maud Rodber who came here to South Africa in 1918.I have the record of her ancestors going back to Samuel Rodber of Yeovil and beyond. If you send me your e.mail address I will e.mail the family tree.
Regards,
Brian.
