Title: Death look up request for Dukinfield

I would like to request two look ups for Dukinfield, Cheshire.  The names of the people are Samuel Whittaker and his wife Sarah.  I believe that Sarah died in 1867, as I found her death listed on Ancestry.com, and the age fits, age 93, which would place her birth at around 1774/1775.

I know that her husband died between 1841 and 1851, because she is listed as a widow on the 1851 census for Dukinfield.  I also found a Samuel Whittaker on Ancestry, and he died in 1842, also in Dukinfield.  No age listed for him, however, so I don't know if this is the right person.

These folks were my ggggrandparents but before we order the death certificates, I want to be sure that these are the correct people.

Hi Leslie,

Noticed that nobody had replied to this yet.  It isn't possible to get a lookup for a death in UK, the only way is to send for the certficate. 

The only alternative would be the parish register burials and those would normally only be available at the local records office or microfilm from an LDS centre and to do that you would need to know where they were buried.

Thanks so much for letting me know.  I didn't realize there were no look-ups.  We'll just go ahead and send for the death record.  I'm almost positive the one for Sarah Whittaker is the correct one--not so sure about Samuel though.
