Hi all I wonder if someone could be so kind as to lookup the marriage of what I hope is my 2nd great grandparents. As far as I know they could have been married in Lewisham Dec 1850 their names are William Calderwood and Ann Mead, from a census in 1881 in Glasgow William was born in England and Ann born in Ireland I do not have anymore info. Other than on William's death certificate was an army pensioner died at the age of 72, I believe that they could have met while William was at Greenwich Woolwich Arsenal.
Thanking all in advance for their kind help

william Calderwood 1850 dec quarter Lewisham
Greater London Kent london
Volume 5 no page number the list has 3316 names on the pages
Ann Mead 1850 Lewisham dec quarter Greater London Kent London Volume 5 page 434
on the same page
Elizabeth Harpin
Ann Mead
Emily Smith
Susan Ann Turnbill
Edward Jury
George Kemp
William John Llewellyn
4 Ladies
3 Men
I would give it a chance that William should be on the V5 page 434 as the missing male.

Thanks for the info Pam but how would I go about find a certificate for them as in Scotland here if I lookup marriages it comes up with the whole info so as you can see I am stumped when it comes to England records. Just spoiled here in Scotland it seems to be laid on a plate for me.
Thanks ScRoppers I was only following up on what you had already given me yesterday.
Thanks again

If you look at the original manuscript GRO index page, you can (just about) convince yourself that 434 is correct, for Calderwood (last entry on page)
