Title: Liddell / Liddle and Mackin
Post by: ksjcott on Saturday 09 September 06 15:26 BST (UK)
I'm researching Liddell / Liddle and Mackins in and around the Alnwick and Gateshead areas.  My direct ancestors are James Liddell and Elizabeth Mackin, but we also have several Theodosias - one in each generation, and would love to hear from anyone else who has come across these names in this area.

Thanks

This is probably no help at all But my grandmother's neighbour in Noble Street (Elswick?) Newcastle upon Tyne was one Carrie Caroline Liddle.  B.

diddymiller,  I read ksjcott's post about Liddles and Liddell.  My gran Mary (Edie) Templeton lived next door to Carry Liddle, somewhere around 19 Noble Street. She was very much remembered by the family, I think that she may have been the local midwife.  I just thought that this may be a useful thread. B.
