Married Patrick McKenzie in Alloa in 1898 know nothing else about her looking for parents or where she was born
-
Hi Jan
There are quite a lot of Jane McKenzie (variations) on the 1901 - none that I can find in Alloa or Clackmannanshire.
I found the marriage cert which does give her parents:
GROS Ref - 465-A page 70 : 10 August 1898, Aloa - after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church
Patrick McKenzie, Bricklayer, bach, 22
and
Jan McGuigan, Millworker, sp, 25
Her parents- Patrick McGuigan, labourer
Mary McGuigan, maiden surname Stewart
Can't yet locate a birth reg. but hope this helps.

Hi Jan
Patrick's birth record: GROS Ref - 466
November 25 1875, New Sauckie, Clackmannan
James Archibald McKenzie, woollen weaver and Susan Devine. Married 21 February 1873, Melrose.
I expect you'd quite like their marriage record to find their parents :)

PS Melrose came from where they were married - woollen trade I expect

Here we are and then your units are up :)

Well Jan
I hope that he will be happy that a west coast Welsh/Scottish/English mongrel has helped :)
Think it might be worth your posting on the Roxburgh board next.
But given their RC religion it would be worth checking up on the availability of those records for that area before 1855 - note their ages. I'm not really knowledgeable about these.
Checkout the 'how to research' thread on the top of the Scottish Board it may give some info on these.
