Title: How to identify areas for death certificat?e

Hi everyone,
I am trying to find a death for my GGGrandfather, James Wilkinson who lived in Armley, b. 1775 Armley.
I know he died between 1841 (found him in the census living at Town Gate Armley, Leeds Borough) and 1851 when he is listed as 'deceased' on my G.Grandmother's marriage certificate.
On Free BMD and Yorkshire BMD there are so many James Wilkinsons it is impossible to decide which is the correct one.
Can anyone help in defining the areas I should look for please?  Would Kirkstall be the logical choice?

It looks a safe bet.
Armley is 1.4 miles from Kirkstall
You can download this software for free to help you locate parishes and their distance from one another.

You could also try Genuki to try and find out the county towns and registration districts for the parish you are searching.
