Hi, I'm trying to trace my great-grandmother, Eliza Maylor Baker.
I believe she married Edward Stanhope Robson in 1911 in Leeds (this is not certain), and they subsequently lived at 145 Skinnerthorpe? Rd, West Brightside, Sheffield. (This is mostly from my grandmother's birth certificate 1912)
I have a feeling she was born in Sheffield but I don't know when, or what her parents names are.
I would very much appreciate any information from any period before or after her marriage if possible - unfortunately there are a lot of Eliza Bakers out there!
Many thanks,
Helen

This is their marriage from the Yorkshire BMD website. As you have no firm info re: Eliza (age/birthplace) you really need to get a copy of the marriage cert which will tell you her age on marriage and her fathers name and occupation. This will help to track her down on the 1901 census
Yorkshire Marriage indexes for the years: 1911
ROBSON Edward S BAKER Eliza M St Saviour, Cross Green Leeds Leeds CE35/C/210

If you turn up the record and click on the CE35 reference number, you can print off a completed application form

Dear Carole,
Thank you so much! I've just signed up for Ancestry so I can look up the censuses now so I will start with those! I'll definitely apply for the marriage certificate.
Thank you ever so much for your help,
Best wishes,
Helen
