Title: Sent a letter, now Im worried...

I sent a letter to an address I found on b4usearch.com under the electoral roll details for the person I was looking for.

Ive just looked on another website for phone numbers etc, and the electoral roll address didnt come up for the same person, but two other people, same name - one more than likely to be her - was on there...

So now Im worried they have moved and wont receive my letter!  :-\  And it was hand written so I dont really have a convenient copy I can send to the other address/es...

What Im trying to ask, or get reassurance for, is if there is mail redirect in England? Im sure there is, but Im worried that they wont receive this letter (they have NO idea it is coming or that extended family exist - so its very important)...

I was thinking of maybe trying to ring the phone numbers I found online for the other addresses if I dont get a reply soon?  But how soon is too soon?

Ahhh now I kinda wish I hadnt found the other addresses/numbers.

Hi Cassarilda

There is a post office redirecting service in England BUT it is a "pay for" service that not everybody chooses to use when they move.  Furthermore, the client chooses for how long they wish the service to be in use ie. 1 month to 2 years.

Perhaps the new occupants, if that is the case, will forward the letter anyway if they know the new address but one can never be sure :-\

B4usearch, from entries I have noted, is up to 3/4 years out of date so you could well be correct in that they have moved.

Please forgive my interruption, but what is a "B4usearch" ?
Would I be right in thinking it is a way of locating living people with whom we have lost touch ?
If so could you please tell me more.

Basically, an electoral list (if people have not "opted out" of their name being made public) ... you can search for a surname in a town/county.
