Can anyone tell me if there is a cemetary or graveyard or both in Whittelsford.
I am looking for a burial of George Ferry in 1899. Thanks

hi Chilton
Do you mean Whittlesford in Cambridgeshire, as I carn't see a Whittlesfield.

Oh! - Sorry.
My mistake, it should read Whittelsford, Cambs

Hi Chilton
According to GENUKI there is a churchyard of SS Mary & Andrew records for the years 1717 - 1867 and a cemetery from 1874 - 1984.
Both sets of records are at the Cambridge Record Office.

Thanks for that Cathy. That is very interesting to me. Does it say where the burial was? Church or cemetary?
Thanks again,
Chilton.

Hi Chilton
No it does'nt say whether churchyard or cemetery. There is also this burial for the only other Ferry in the registers
1901 June 17 Ferry Isabella of Norwich, 55, grave no W1223

Thanks again Cathy,
Isabella was his wife who died in Norwich. They must have transported back to hubby.
Are you able to tell me what otp 64 means against George Henry's name?
Chilton.

Yes, otp means of this parish and 64 is his age.
Hope this has been some help
