Title: Search options

This looks like a nice site (I'm new here). Just have one suggestion - it would help if the Advanced Search options allowed 'whole word only' searches and the exclusion of unwanted strings. I'm looking for the names Plumb and Plumbe, but I'm getting a lot of plumbers at the moment!

Also I'm not able to access pages 2, 3, ... of the search results for some reason.

The Page 2,3 problem etc - a few other people have reposrted this problem too - check that "cookies" aren't being blocked, and that you are logged in.

To test is cookies are being blocked or not, try this test:

http://www.rootschat.co.uk/help/cookie.html

(If they are getting blocked, it will tell you it's gone pear shaped)

I have the same trouble on the search as well, can access page 1 but 2,3.............I can't access. I have done the cookie test and it said that cookies accepted, but I still can't access the next page.

Nope...

The number of pages are shown ie [1] 2 3 etc
Page 1 is in view, but if you hover over 2 or 3 with the cursor, it remains as an arrow. It doesn't change to a pointing finger to enable selection of the following pages.

Sorry to report it hasn't worked for me either. The number changes colour when I move the cursor over it, but nothing happens when I click.

By the way, what internet browser are you using? Internet Explorer? (what version? Go to "Help">"About" in internet explorer to find the version number)

Post by: trystan on Friday 05 November 04 14:33 GMT (UK): Gosh! I can see the problem now too - when I fire up Internet Explorer 6 and type in something for the search it only shows the first page (if I'm not logged in) but if I do log in, then there is no problem.

There is a box at the bottom of the search options "check all"
Can we (please !) also have a button on "advanced search"==> "clear all selections" i.e "Uncheck all" !!.

If this is possible, then that would be a big help !
I usually want to search in one or two boards, and it's just too much work to cancel all the other boards !
