I was wondering if someone would be so kind to look up a death for me, I'm looking for a Robert Pickering born 1862 Darwin. I'm not sure of his death date or year, and he is not listed on the FreeBMD index. I know for sure that he was still living in 1912, when his son moved to Canada. I had contact with a lady, who seemed to think that he died in a motorcoach accident in the early to Mid 20's, in Lancashire, this info was from her father, who remembered a family story. Unfortunetly I have lost contact with this person. I'm also looking for the death of Jane Elizabeth Pickering, b. 1864, Bridge, Kent, maiden name was Higgins. I know that she was living in 1901, (from census Rochdale area). We believe that she died before her son came to Canada in 1912. She was not listed in the online freebmd index.

I have checked the actual images 1920 to 1925 on ancestry and the only Robert that remotely fits the bill is the following
Apr/May/Jun 1923
Robert Pickering 62 Rochdale 8e 100
I can check further if you like, none of the other Roberts match in age.

Have checked images 1901 to 1912 and can only find this possible
A/M/J 1901 Jane Pickering 35 Stockport 8a 31
There is a jane age 49,Sunderland 1906 and a Jane 34 Bedford 1906.
I have looked carefully but i may have missed her.

Thank you, I think this is my Robert. Jane not so sure. I think that if I send away for death certificate for Robert, it may tell if he was a widow or not at time of death maybe that will narrow it down. Family was sure it was before 1912 though.
