Looking for information on Susannah Page b 1843 in Rugby Warwick.
A puzzle of relationships.
Happy to share if you need information on any of these:
Currently I have the following info (in summary):
--
Isabelle Susanna Page b c1865 = Thomas Muckley.
Isabella was born in Middlesex. Thomas was born 1859 in Warwick.
(I have some census details of Thomas Muckley's ancestors)
Children were
Elise Blanche,
Thomas,
Bertram,
Violate Maud,
Francis
Reginal.

It is known that (from census data).
1) Isabella Susanna lived with her grandparents John and Sarah Page in
1871 at the age of 5/6.
2) No knowledge of her father and no evidence found.
3) In 1881 she lives with Samuel Gumbley who married Susannah Page.
4) She Marries Thomas Muckley age 21 in 1886
5) In 1891 her family are living with a seperately registered family at the same
address - Samuel and Susannah Gumbley
From the above is is assumed that Isabella had the surname Page and that Susannah is her mother (which could be linked to her middle name of the same).

MYSTERY FATHER?
What do we know of Susannah Page?
Other names appear to be Susanna and Susan.
She was born in c1843 in Rugby in Warwick. If isabella is her daughter she had her before she married Samuel in 1873.
She appeared to live in Warwick all her life yet Isabella was born in Middlesex.
In 1881 Samuel and Susannah have children:
Eugenie May Gumbley age 5
isabella Page age 15
Samuel Gumbley age 21

If Susannah's parents are John and Sarah (noted as her child Isabella's grandparents in the census) then there is no record of John and Sarah (in census data) of having a child called Sussannah or similar and they lived in Tysoe Warwickshire all their lives.
Can not find any evidence of Susannah being married to a son of John and Sarah in case these were her paternal grandparents?
---
The only link with Middlesex, currently, is that John and Sarah had a son (John E) who married Elizabeth from St Lukes, Middlesex.
John E and Elizabeth had children born in Kenilworth in Middlesex (Ada, William and John). They lived there all their lives.
Interesting, another puzzle is that in 1871 the census describes James Franks as brother in law to John E Page. However, John E Page had only one recorded sister who did not marry James Franks at any point that is known.

I have some dates to go with the above families and any help with this puzzle would be appreciated....

There's an Isabella Susanna Sarah Page born Sep Q 1865, St Luke 1b 663 - what do you think?
On the 1881 census, Isabella is listed as Samuel Gumbley's daughter-in-law, definitely implying that Susannah was her mother.
I have found an interesting marriage: John and Sarah Page had a son with the bizarre name of Mister William Page. I couldn't believe it when I saw the census, but his birth and marriage are on FreeBMD, and one of the possible spouses is Susanna Jane Belcher.
Marriages Jun 1864
BELCHER Susanna Jane
PAGE Mister William
PENNY William
SCHOFIELD Mercy
Camberwell 1d 828
Double-checking with census, Susanna Belcher was born in Rugby c1843. Mister William died in 1870, ie before Susanna Page's marriage to Samuel Gumbley.
This would fit with Isabella being John and Sarah Page's granddaughter, as well as Samel Gumbley's daughter-in-law. However, you really need Isabella's birth cert and/or Susanna's marriage cert(s) to be sure - the marriage cert for Susanna and Samuel should give both her maiden and former married names. (Although if the registrar forgot to ask specifically, widows didn't always mention that they'd been married before!)
Hope this helps!

It looks as though James Franks is the brother of John E Page's wife, Elizabeth:

Rambler - thanks. I does indeed appear that Isabella's name gets longer the deeper I go!! I think your right - that must be her. Indeed it seems also likley that Mister Page's marriage to Ms Belcher would explain the situation. I had noticed that John and Sarah had a son with this odd name but when i did some look ups I just couldn't find anything! The death of Mister also fits. I will have another dig and see if I can find any more clues.
Thanks a lot. Appreciated. Fresh eyes often helps!!
