I'm looking for information about Mary Ann Wilkinson born around 1821 in Pickering Yorkshire
She married Thomas Eves around 1842 and they lived in Scarborough. Thomas was a fisherman.
Their children were: Thomas William, Jonathan Wilkinson, Margaret A, Edmund, Clarence, Elizabeth, Rhoda, Clara, Sarah Ann.
I've found her (married), from 1851 on wards and a possible location in 1841 but cannot find any evidence of her birth or parents' names.

Hello Maxie
Her marriage record should give you her father's name and occupation - and maybe witness' which may tie back to your possible 1841 sighting.

Hi AMBLY,
Thanks for the reply. I've done as you suggested. Probably the only way.

Dear Sadie,
Yes Mary Ann Wilkinson was my great great grandmother! I don't know anything about her parents or indeed anything before the birth/baptism I found on the net. She married Thomas Eves and had 12 children (or at least that's the number I've found).
I know very little about Thomas Eves either, other than his parents were John Eves & Mary Barker of Staithes ( Whitby?).
One of Mary Ann Wilkinson's children was Elizabeth Eves who married James Stead Barker and one of their daughters, Rhoda Barker was my maternal grandmother.
How wonderful to have found such a source. I'd love to hear all the details and if any mention was made of James Stead Barker's father because he was never named as such!
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
