Trying to find out about my grandfather's family. His name was Samuel Cooper and his parents were Enoch and Phoebe(nee Foster) their other children were possibly Tom, Mary, Florence and Phoebe.
They were from the Wednesbury/Darlaston area.
Thanks

Hiya Debs
What sort of dates are we looking for? If they were around at the time of the 1871, 1881, 1891 or 1901 census I will have a look for you

Hi Willow
Thanks for the lookup offer. Could you check the Darlaston/Wednesbury 1891 census for Enoch Cooper he would have been about 14 at the time.
The only address I have is 16 Holyhead road which is where he was born but I don't know if they were still here in 1891.
Any help much appreciated
Thanks

I dont know if you have this information
In 1901
Enoch Cooper aged 25 head
Phoebe Cooper aged 22 wife
I cant tell you anything else from the census because its so faint its unreadable
He married Phoebe in 1899 GRO ref 4th 1/4 6b 1338 her maiden name was Foster. There is a chance Marys maiden name was Horton

Had a look in the 1841 and found your Enoch
Thomas Cooper 45 (no occ) Y
John " 22 y
Charles " 20 y (not sure of name very faint but definate male begining C)
Enoch Cooper 18 y
Joseph " 12 y
Jonah/Josiah " 10 y
Job " 8 y
Hannah " 14 y
Living Catherine Croft, Darlaston The boys all have the same occupation but can't read it as it is very faint. Could be anything but I'd say it begins with P could be Pudler but not entirely sure.
I pity the poor 14 year old daughter left to sort out the house and the boys!!
All the best Angela.

Forgot to mention that Catherine Croft is a fairly large area and had quite a few families living there.
All the best Angela.
