Post by: fred59 on Saturday 05 August 06 13:50 BST (UK)
Hi, had no luck on military part of site so i will try here,
I have just found out that my wifes GT GT Grandfather was in  'No 1 Company of the 1st Volunteer Battalion Norfolk Regiment . He was Bugle Major William Moore of Norwich ,we are not sure when he served but he died in 1915 aged 71 yrs, can anyone tell me if there is a website where i can find and apply for his army records, were records kept for these type of units ? this part of family history is all very new to me so any help gratfully recieved.

                  Thanks Gordon
