What does all this mean ? It is relating to my GGrandfather and his time in Navy, but, other than the obvious personal stuff, its all gobbledy gook to me ???

He was a Boy 2nd Class on HMS Impregnable from 22 Nov 1885 to 5 Dec 1885. I can't read the name of the next ship (Gan..??) but he served on that on until 1 Sept 1886. Then it looks like he ran away! ? from Mich leave?

Had a scout around and I think it was the Ganga.
Pictures on HMS Impregnable here:

HMS Impregnable and HMS Ganges were both boys training establishments.
And then yes, he deserted on 1/9/86.

Thanks to you both, I guessed he had "done a runner"
Would this have been something he could have been arrested for?, as I can't find him on 1891 census, Perhaps he was just lying low. In 1892 he was in prison for other offences
Any ideas what the comment is in the Remarks column?
Just trying to put the 'meat on the bones' so to speak
Thanks
