Hi Wings

I have several different 1851 Suffolk census indexes but I'm afraid that there is no sign of a Henry of around the right age.

The following parishes are missing believed lost in 1851; Dalham, Exning, Gazeley, Higham, Lidgate, Newmarket St Mary, Moulton & Ousden.

If he was living in any of them, then I'm afraid that you may never find him. :(

Rick :)

19 years later ...

This might not be your man, but a Henry Roper married a Mary.  They had two children (Henry Spink Roper & Mary Ann Roper) baptised in Bacton, Suffolk in 1821 & 1826 respectively.

Henry married Mary SPINK 19 Oct 1819 Rattlesden

Bit young to marry if born 1803?

1803 bapt has him as Henry Roper/King so possibly under either name later in life?

Having looked through most on the baptism fiches at the Hold seems possible that Henry was baptised when older than we might expect these days.  I seen a family getting baptised on the same day from 0 years to teens.

Maybe they got a good rate as a job lot? :)
