Seeking help from some kind researcher in Bredon Area ( Bredon, Norton (all) & Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. From 1881 UK Census details below you will see WILLIAM WOOD & MARY MARIA WOOD lived in Bredon Area,Worcester. Unable to locate on 1891 UK Census so think both may have passed away between 1881 / 1891. I am hoping someone may live in this area who has research on cemeteries in area or could visit to locate graves of both Willam & Mary Maria Wood.
As so many William Wood & Mary Wood listed on death notices in that period was seeking to obtain headstone details to narrow search prior to obtaining certificates
Any help GREATLY APPRECIATED.
regards Malcolm ( Sydney, Australia)

Hello, I am not really involved with genealogy, but live in Acton Beauchamp, and can see the cottages at Groveshead, so if there is anything I can help with then let me know.

Hi SSC
Thankyou for your very kind offer.
I was hoping that if passing by the Parish Churches in Bredon ( think was TWO in 1880's) and had some spare time you could peruse the burial/grave details from the Church/Cemetery to locate graves of WILLIAM WOOD and/or MARY MARIA WOOD. DOB would be approx 1818/1821 d o death unknown but as unable to locate in 1891 UK Census believe prior to then. Warning as death details unknown assuming remained and died in Bredon Area. Other details on the above from original posting or if anything else needed PLEASE ASK
Details from Tewkesbury Abbey are

With reference to your recent e-mail I can confirm that William Wood and Mary Ballinger were married in Tewkesbury Abbey, the parish church of Tewkesbury, on 20th October, 1838. The Abbey churchyard was closed for further burials in 1857, except for a limited number of interments in existing graves. We have a list of these interments, and they do not include William or Mary Wood. After 1857 the vast majority of burials of those living in Tewkesbury took place in the town cemetery, which was opened in February, 1857. If, however, William and Mary were still living in Bredon at the time of their deaths it is likely that they were buried in the churchyard at Bredon parish church. Bredon is a small village a few miles north of Tewkesbury, but over the county boundary in Worcestershire.
I hope that this information is helpful to you.
