Can anyone help me to find out if my gt,gt grandfather Antonio Penton is buried at ford cemetary ?. he was supposed to be buried there in a unmarked Paupers grave in 1918, but I dont have proof of that.
I cant seem to be able to find out how to access the records for ford cemetary, can anyone help please.

Mekanik,
According to the following website the internment register is held at Liverpool Records Office:
http://liverpool-ancestors.co.uk/war/cemeteryrecs.htm
With all of your Liverpool connections I'm sure you know how to contact them but just in case their website is:
http://archive.liverpool.gov.uk/
Hope this helps.

Hi
You need to know his actual date of death before Liverpool PRO can trace the plot number and confirm which cemetary
-
Mekanik,
You may already have his death certificate but if not this would appear to be the GRO ref: March Q 1918 W Derby 8b 642 Antonio Penton Age 68.

hello pinetree.
thank you for your help in this search.
I do not have a copy of his death certificate because I live in Birmingham and have done since I was a small boy, and I am now 73 years young, all my nearest and dearest are long gone. I only heard about his burial second hand so did not know if it was true or not. that is why I ran the search.being so far away, and housebound through ill health, I could not check any records. so I did not know where to start. the only true facts I have are that he was born in Ancona Italy in 1843, that would make him 67 years in 1918.it could be him I will have to try and find out. but thank you very much for your Help.

You can obtain a copy of the death certificate for £7 from the GRO. You can order it online or by phone with a credit or debit card or by post with a cheque. If you need help with how to do this then post another message.

Hi
There is no trace of him on the 1901 census so he presumably only came to the UK after 1901
Funnily enough - there is an Antonio Penton on the 1891 census but he was b Middlesex in 1855 and there is a death for Antonio Penton in Liverpool in the March qtr of 1869 - no age shown but ref is West Derby 8B 634
