Title: Healey Family
Post by: epfast on Wednesday 19 July 06 10:01 BST (UK)
I am trying to find information on the Healey family. Particularly Matthew Healey born abt 1862 in Stalybridge or Stockport and his wife Sarah born abt 1865 in the same area. There daughter Beatrice was my great grandmother born about 1881 in either Oldhan or Stockport depending which census you believe.

I just cannot get back before the 1891 census for Marriages or births. I could be missing something obvious or simply search in the wrong way.

As always all help is appteciated

Jim

Hi Jim,

Sorry I can't see Beatrice yet, but if I'm looking at the right family in 1891 (spelt HEALLEY) then these look like the births of the other children,

Maybe getting one of these certificates and finding out Sarah's maiden name will help.

Or choose complete images and search the indexes free at Ancestry here,

Thanks,

Yes that's the right family I'll follow it up - I know Beatrice was born around 1880 - and I have the marriage cert - where the family were before I don't know yet

Many thanks

Jim

Followed up on 1891 census - getting desperate - I must be missing something but I just can't find details for Beatrice born around 1880 ( married James Longson around 1902 in Stockport) - or for the marriage of Matthew (her father and Sarah Ann nee Ward?) - The census records give various places for their birth depending which one you use - does anyon know anything so that I can try to get back on track
