My uncle Frederick Charles Laing was born in Dublin 1885/6.
his father was Ebenenzer Laing, a scot and mother Jane Laing was from Staffordshire.

Shortly after the birth the moved to Newcastle -on-Tyne and spent most of their life their.

Can anyone advise as to where I can get more information of the where and when of the birth?

Hi Ian the Mormon's family history libraries have some civil registration records for Ireland births & marriages. I found my Gt G/mother's marriage record this way.

My dad Christy Millar was born in 61 Upper Dominick St in 1934, he had cousins - Costello's and Sheridans. Just wondering if anyone knows any information.  :)

I know its a long time since the original Laing posting, but in the meantime www.irishgenealogy.ie has come online and the Church records show the 1885 birth, plus the parents addrsss in Rathmines, Dublin.
