Title: Badrock or Bedrock Family
Post by: GillSmith on Monday 10 July 06 06:22 BST (UK)
Does anyone know of a family called Badrock or Bedrock who may have lived around Bunbury or on the Wirral?

Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Gill

Theres an Elizabeth Badrock in 1901 census, listed here for you

Elizabeth Badrock  49  Bunbury  Unm.  Servant  Dom Cook

Household of  Matthew & Flora  Clover and family.

RG13/3381  Folio 25 Page 40  Wirral Neston

On a general census search of the surname Badrock there are quite a few in the Parish area of Bunbury and again for the surname Bedrock

Yes there are quite a few Badrocks in the Bunbury area but also there are quite a few Badcocks - sometimes the two get mistranscribed and mixed up. The censuses are useful for sorting them out.

They should all be in the parish registers on the Cheshire Parish Registers Project database via the internet.
